I’d like to see a low profile dome ptz with auto tracking

I looked on Dahua’s site but didn’t find anything.

I would be very interested in a 2mp star light dome ptz that has auto tracking, IR, and IP67.

Low profile like the domes we all know.... the bigger ptz’s available are too big and noticeable for my particular use.

Hopefully something like this would be available sometime.

If auto tracking is not a big deal for you then the new 'lite series' ptz's might be something Chase.

@EMPIRETECANDY Andy, is it possible to replace the normal glass dome on these camera's (sd52c225u-hni and sd12203t-gn) for a smoked dome? Would help to blend in de domes in there surrounding and avoid people feeling being watched.

LOL, this kind of cam just like that, not easy to change, maybe future have newer models out.

What do you think the a smoked dome would do to the cams light gathering ability.
In most instances, most people won't ever notice them. People wouldn't notice you walking down the street with your forehead on fire.
They're just not that observant.

Yes, I hear you @looney2ns . In an ideal world 'we' (camera enthusiasts on this forum especially) are looking for a lens which can gather as much light as possible and these Starlights we all 'love', no other word for it, do a tremendous job. A smoked dome does not sound ideal, contrary it would make optics less clear. I agree.

The reason I asked @EMPIRETECANDY was because my starlight was catching 'green laser light' the other day, if you understand what that means.

As most of you guys know, not all countries/people seem to be so flexible about watching over your own belongings and or loved ones. Especially not when or if this means there is even a slight possibility other people feel their privacy might be invaded. My camera lens(es) is (are) in no way pointing directly to my neighbors. This is probably the sole reason the camera is still alive in the first place. If one is not able to see the lens at all, this probably would make me feel a little more at ease, although one can never be 100%, chances the lens get's fried are brought down.
