I can never get a water tight connection!

I always seem to get water in my RJ45 plugs at some point, i bought a bunch of these

and i still end up with water! Is there a better connector out there?

I have wrapped them in coax seal and 3m tape.

Also the standard connector and waterproof connector a camera comes with also gets water in at some point.

Using a junction box and sealing it with silicone is the best way i have found to get no leaks.

I've had problems with the dual-female connectors you linked to and am cautiously optimistic I have it solved. The solution was to coat all of the sealing surfaces and gaskets with grease (thin layer) before assembling them. I used dielectric grease but for this application I think any grease that's not water soluble would be ok. In some places I use the hoods supplied with the camera and have never had a problem with them. I make sure their mechanical seals are tight, and also position them vertically with the camera end up. You have to tighten the large shell first, then the seal around the cable. I also use a few junction boxes. In some cases all the wires go in and out the bottom with drip loops and I don't worry about sealing them tightly. For those that are below ground I make slots just below the case cover to fit tightly around the cables, and fill whatever tiny gaps are left with grease. Before I used the grease they got water in the box. After using the grease, no problems. It has been a multi-year learning process.

Glad it's not just me then, i have zero issues with junction boxes but i silicone them where the wires go in and the actual connection is inside.
