I need help with Understanding clip storage

I'm not sure I understand what I'm looking at for the storage bar graphs for each drive..

I have BI system where the clip allocation seems to get out of whack After a day or two and starts to show an over allocation error. (The 217.7 GB below) Both screenshots below are from the same system, the top one is how it gets out of whack, if I rebuild the database it looks normal For a few days as the below screenshot. Drive D, E and F are all 8 terabyte drives where I have allocated 7200 MB.

Any idea what might be causing this?

what is the allocation set for the new,store,alerts.aux1 ?
The gear button, clips and storage .
Never allocate more than 95% of the total disk space ?
Also make sure clip age is unchecked.
