I have slowly been ripping out all my old analog junk and switching over to POE IP Cams.

Current setup is

LTS Platinum 16port POE 4k NVR
Q-See 3MP IP POE Varifocal Bullet
Q-See 4MP IP POE Varifocal Dome
Raytec Raymax RM50-50-POE

Everything is working well. Now here is where I run into an issue. I picked up a couple of Dahua IPC-HDW4431C-A 4MP and they work well when connected to a POE Switch but when I connect them to the NVR I keep getting either
Offline (User Password Error)
or
Offline Protocol Error.

Passwords are right, the ports are right, Its setup as ONVIF, I can login to the cams without issue but I just can't seem to get them to play well with this NVR. I have even reset everything network wise and started fresh. The reservations are mac based, default passwords changed, I'm sure its probably something simple I'm just overlooking but anyone have any ideas?

Two days of searching and fighting with it I figured it was time to look for assistance

Just tried an RTSP test and I get Offline(Network Abnormal) *twitch*

Check which type of ONVIF Authentication is required by the cameras. Try switching it between modes and see if that helps.

Ill have a look, the only option I have found is either "On or Off" for the Onvif authentication.

Turned out to be the onvif users needed to be edited with onvifdm and not just the camera web interface. Fixed and working well!
