I would like to donate a Hikvision ANPR camera to a member as a gift to being a new member of the community. I have a stock pile of them and would love to contribute. Not sure the rules on this so any moderators please reach out. I have OEM Hikvision (Winic brand) DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS. Lets get this party started! Maybe a contest of some sort? Throw out some ideas.

I have a couple of those and they're great cameras! Unfortunately, Tennessee updated their plates to the 3M wrap/finish and they're pretty much useless at night in my area. The AI is pretty good though. Pretty awesome of you OP for wanting to spread the love.

They both are ANPR cameras, but the iDS one work almost out of the box, while DS one had to be configured for each scene differently with trial and error. The IDS one has P-IRIS. which is really good.

The API for the new iDS one got heavily extended for integrations.

Its even hard to list everything its like comparing android phone manufactured in 2017 and in 2024. They both get you to answer calls , use internet and such. But you will see difference how they perform.
