Identical Cameras - One has Face Detection?????

Hi All,

Stumbled over this yesterday.
I have 10 identical camera, (1 not installed), and noticed that just one has Face Detection listed under the smart events.
All on 5.5.5 as of yesterday, & that's when I first noticed it & assumed the upgrade must have added it to all cameras.

Any ideas where it's come from on just that one camera?
Serial numbers are the only thing different in basic information.

I believe this is one of those region-linked capabilities.
Maybe try comparing the letters in the serial number to see if you have 'Full English' or 'Hacked to English' cameras.

That was precisely it.
Camera 9 did not have H264+ enabled, all the others did.

All are the same model & region.

Face detection only work under h264

Yeah, but does it do anything?

I have 2142FWD-IS and although it shows up, nothing appears to work. no files are recorded anywhere...

for the face detection....you have to work very close to the camera..sometime work sometime don't. I don't use it.
