I have Dahua camera installed for a couple of years. I use IDMSS plus to view the image on my iPhone and iPad. It has always been a problem that around two or three times a week, the app has “connection failed”. This happens regardless of whether I am using home wifi or mobile data on my phone. And the home internet and my mobile internet works perfectly fine when the IDMSS connection is failed. I can view any other website. There is a screen at home to view the CCTV images. It is working fine too.
The only solution to reconnect is to switch off the home modem and restart. It usually gets reconnected 30min after I restart the modem.
It has been a pain because I need to view the camera when I am not home.
Does this only happen to Dahua camera or other cameras too? The installation company is not offering anything helpful. Is there any solution to fix it? Thank you.
