iDMSS Plus - local playback

Hi guys,

short question and maybe everyone knows that, but is it possible to playback video with iDMSS Plus locally? This means without P2P activated in the dahua cam and blocked outgoing internet traffic of the camera?

I captured some network traffic and that looks like outgoing network connection every time.

Hello, and Welcome. Yes but you will need a router that supports openvpn. I prefer Asus routers as they are easy to set-up. follow this guide OpenVPN on a Asus router then All you need to do is add the NVR by ip/domain in the app. BTW there is a new app out called DMSS now.

@dudemaar: thank you for the hint with the new app, but the problem is the same with this app.

When I try to playback the video from my camera (not the live stream, the general recorded video), I got "no access [camera-name]" (in german "Keine Befugnis-Garten-IPC"). So I am unable to play recorded video also in the same network. My record destination is a smb share (camera has no local storage). I have no NVR, I to play directly from the camera - without luck.
