Hi everyone,

I just got Blue Iris going with my Nest Cams and I must say it's very impressive! I have 5 outdoor Nest Cameras and two indoor ones.

Obviously, using Blue Iris with Nest means that your cameras are public for those who know the URL. I have no real problem with the outdoor cameras, and I don't have a HUGE problem with the indoor ones either, as they are set to turn off whenever I'm home.

BUT, I'd certainly find it creepy if it were trivial for people to discover them. I guess I am basically wondering what the probability is someone could use some scanning software to pull down all of the public RTMPS feeds off of nest. I know there are quite a few digits, but scanners can also work quickly.

There's probably not a good answer to my question, but I'm curious how other people think about the tradeoffs. I'm thinking I will most likely just pay Nest for the two indoor cameras and leave the outdoor ones public. But I do like seeing all of the cameras in one interface!
