Hi folks,

I'm new here. I wish to have a CCTV system at my home. I wish for PTZ facility I guess. Now, I have just bought a Microserver with a 3TB drive. Not even set that up yet. Just occurred to me that instead of buying a whole CCTV system, I can make use of the space on my microserver. Maybe I can allocate 1TB to it? Be nice if I can keep recording constantly and always have the last 20+ days footage. Possible?

What kind of software do I need guys? Also, as regards to hardware, any recommendations? What about the SunEyes SP-P1802SPTZ-POE ?

Appreciate any input here folks - I'm a total CCTV virgin.

I'm a noob here but I can tell you they're all going to say hikvision dahua or the huisun ptz camera. That ptz is the hot camera atm. Mines on its way. As for software they'll say blue iris.

I looked at this cam for a while, it's been out for over 2 years and OEM was Ratingsecu at that time, I wasn't much a fan of the looks, but would be curious on your thoughts if you get it.
