Recently bought a Imporx PTZ and cannot seem to access it through my pc at all...
changed my ip address to a static 192.168.0.24..
apparently camera should be 192.168.0.99 but cannot access it through a browser nor can i find it through the ip search tool i got with the camera.

Any help would be great as Imporx employees keep going round in circles.

Thank you

Hikvision's SADP tool usually finds these.
If it does, it will show you the IP address it's using.

You have it connected to a switch/router and does the link detect light come on?

Its connected directly into the computer. No link light on the connector to light up.

If the network configuration is set for DHCP - the camera won't get a predictable IP address, it may not even get a 'self-administered address'.

If you connect the camera to your switch / router as normal, does the switch/router link detect come on?
Does the camera do the pan/tilt full sweep when you power it on?

Unfortunately theres no link detect light on my router. I plugged it in last night when you said about it and tried setting the static IP again etc but it still wasnt showing up.

When powered up it does the sweep and tilt.

I must be missing something?

Assuming you've eliminated the existing network cable as the cause of the problem by testing with another known good one, no link detect light indicates that the camera network connection is faulty.

Quick update, plugged the camera into a different pc that has link lights. Lights lit up to show it was connected and talking back.

Camera was still unresponsive..could it be a faulty camera?
