That’s why I suspected WDR or SSA but he shows backlight off…

He's got a tough lighting scene..
Here's an example 5442 turret of mine that sits under a dark carport and is a real challenge when sunny (we're overcast today) that I use SSA on because without it .... well see for yourself

I was running SSA on the north side of my house because of the afternoon shadow. It would do well until it determined it no longer needed SSA and would kick it off. I ended up messing with contrast and adding some WDR. I'm not happy with it, but the shadow isn't a black abyss now.

I think I remember that.

I'm not seeing that on the 2 cameras I'm kinda forced to run it on.

Just so everyone knows, there are two SSA settings.

AI SSA which can do all kinds of funky shit..
and Backlight SSA which seems to be a variant of WDR and works reasonably well.

I am on the old GUI with just one type of SSA.
