yes, most cameras with their own sd card storage will support motion detection.
but if you're aggregating the storage on an NVR or BI server, the motion detection is generally done there,
although one can set them up to use the camera's motion detection to trigger recording on the NVR/BI.
Depends on which motion detection works better for you, but i believe letting the NVR/BI do it
(watching the stream full-time and recording to disk only on motion parameters as configured in the NVR/BI)
is the preferred mechanism...
