Yea, just read that. Not sure I would care for a home computer... though I can see how it'd be a major issue with Virtual Machines and multiple secure machines/accounts on the one piece of hardware.

Some guy in a marketing meeting came up with this funny joke about "being forced to slow things down to protect the users unless they buy a new remodelled CPU"... and boss man liked it!

Well, Apple fell for it too! Must be the pointy haired boss.

And Intel says it's not a bug in the chip. Bet we see a lot of politics in action on this.
