This is the newest intel cpu inthe market place ( i think) 2 channel mem.

Quad channel is only support by Intel Extreme Edition and Xeon CPUs, and by AMD Opteron, Threadripper, and Epyc CPUs." i found an intel core i7 6900K with quad channel but as I suspected the quick sync or onboard graphics were not on the chip.

I think with the alledged 35% increased memory bandwidth of DDR4, perhaps the gains in quad channel memory were achieved in 2 channels on newer chips.
