Hi,
wondering if anyone can shed some light on how the NetHDD feature works. I have a HikVision DS7608ni-i2/8p NVR and have setup my synology nas. In the NetHDD section of the NVR config, I can successfully search for the NAS and see the file share folder, add it and format it. The NVR does detect the storage size of the NAS correctly as well.
When is this storage actually used though? After setting it up, I had some intrusion detection events and they generated notifications from my Hit-Connect app but I don't think anything was recorded on the NAS. Does anyone know when the additional storage is used?
