Hi,
I'm being a cheapskate and trialling iSpy instead of buying Blue Iris for two Bird Box cameras.

Onces an old HIKVision DS-2CD2042 and the others a 4MP HQCam from China (both IP Cams).

I can do most of what I want with iSpy but my question is - is there a free iOS App that I can use to look at these cameras in real time? A very nice to have would be to be able to view away from home bu not desperate for that one.

If not and if I did buy BI, is the remote part of that any good?

Keep in mind BI is not an "app".

You need a Windows computer and purchase BI to run it on.

Then there is the free viewer that is available via a web browser and a $10 paid app. But the paid app is useless without having the Windows computer with BI running on it.

Personally I would just type in security camera in the play store and try a few of the free ones. I don't know though about if the HQCam is a proprietary one that would only run on their app. Many cameras are like that.

Just try the hik connect app and maybe you get lucky with the others being rebranded hik cams.
