Using a simple example will help me understand some basics of ip cam.
If there is one ip camera on a network with 2 meg resolution and 1 frame per sec and 5 different computers looking at the image, say one BI and 4 simple browsers logged into the camera,
How many copies of each frame in being sent over the network? Is it like email, one copy goes to all addresses?
One of my cams says it will support 30 users, but does each user raise the data rate from the camera?
I know there are different image formats, for my question, they are all using the same resolution

If you can point me to a protocal discussion, I will try to answer my question myself.

Thanks ,in advance.

If I recall this is all unicast so it would have to send all to each client individually.

multicast is one to a group of users which many support this now, it takes a bit to work correctly but is more efficient.
