But you get the picture. The camera doesnt work. Pins 12, 36 show open towards the camera. It's a ptz camera but all poe cameras look the same on this meter. It's DOA, will not power up via poe. It will power up via the 12v connector but has no activity on the test switch (non poe) and can't communicate with it.
Took it apart and this board - has a burn spot. - other side.
I could never replace the chip. It's surface mount so the pins do not pass thru to the other side. The wires are good from the rj45 to the white connector, so it may be worth trying to buy the 48v power board ...
This ptz was painted by the customer so the waranty is void. They purchased a higher end replacement. I had 2nd thoughts after it went into the dumpster, pulled it out and brought it home.
It still has the preset and seems to be back working. It has been in service for some time but worth the 60 dollars......if it continues to work for awhile.
