Hi there.
Im seeking for cameras that I'd be able to set up in a way that they hit some http endpoint (specified by me) once some objects gets detected. I was thinking about buying Hikvision DS-2CD2086G2-I but I'm not sure whether it meets such requirement. Thanks !

@zubra, the specs for the above Hikvision DS-2CD2086G2-I(U) will not satisfy your HTTP GET/POST requirement by itself.

In general, POE cameras can ftp and smtp, but do not have generic http web call configuration built-in.

Side note, this camera will not do well at night since it's sensor is too small (1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS) for a 4K camera.

If you want to achieve what you want, look at Blue Iris (in addition to getting cameras). It has the ability to hit HTTP endpoint when detecting motion/person/car and other AI objects. Other actions like MQTT, run a program, etc...are also possible.

Not using them for years, but I remember that Axis can do it using Action Rules.
Apart from BlueIris, Synology Surveillance can also send http commands on motion events as well as Dahua IVS events.
