Hi, I'm new to the world of security cameras. My set up is:
Two IP cameras connected to router , one is wired and one is wireless. router on the first floor.
My computer on the second floor. Computer connects to router using a USB WIFI adapter.
I have the NVR connected to the Ethernet port on my computer.
Both cameras on the NVR displays "Can not find network host"
I can see both cameras on my computer using iSpy. However the frame rate is like 1 FPS, useless. They only connect JPEG.
I can ping the cameras, router and NVR just fine.
The computer Ethernet port details are 192.168.1.2 255.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 DNS is blank. I had to set up the IPv4 manually.
Cameras and NVR are Amcrest. NVR is NV1104.
The NVR has no WIFI built in and just one Ethernet port, My guess is that I need to run an Ethernet cable from router to NVR. In the mean time is there away that I can get this working without running a cable.
Thanks.
