In your opinion or experience, would the 3.6mm IPC-Color4k-T be a good option to cover the entry/exit of normal size doors? Or would the focal length be too far off?

In my testing they were a little fuzzy at 6ft, real bad inside of 6ft, and crisp and clean at 12-15ft

+1 above. Many are finding that 4K full color on the 1/1.2" sensor is a low light machine, but they make better overview cameras to capture color rather than IDENTIFY unless the distance is the rather small distance depth of the camera. So if the distance to IDENTIFY is 12-15, then good choice if that is the goal of the camera.

Very good info, thank you!

@wittaj Which 4K Full Color have the 1.2" CMOS? I can only find them in the 1.8", which is a worthy sensor in itself. Only the large SD8C845FG-HNF
PTZ has the big sensor (IMX585) that I could find. Wish more had the 1/1.2". The 1.8 is excellent though, and the 1.2" is not cheap.

Yeah, and the LEDs on the bullet I swear are just about brighter than the old dim streetlight. Both running 1/120-1/250 ish exposure
