Do you guys have MD and SMD on? I have been fighting with every possible setting and just now managed to trigger the warm light on, after enabling MD and SMD. Are these needed to be on?

It does have to be dark...... its related to the built in light sensor of the camera

@bigredfish , you mention in the other thread that IPC-Color4M-T Empiretech corresponds to Dahua IPC-HDW3449H-AS-PV-PRO. However, that Dahua camera does not have a microphone and speaker I think. So, I don't know which Dahua model the Color4M exactly corresponds to. My Synology has the profile for AS-PV-PRO but doesn't recognize the mic to speak back.

My mistake, xorry, I was searching for "micr" instead of "mic". Synology is still all over the place with these cameras. I will look elsewhere in the forym for threads related to Synology pains.
