IPC-HDW2231R-ZS IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202.zip

Came upon this while I scoured the forum for 2231-related threads...

But since I already run my cams off internet through separate vlan and firewall-rules, would you agree this actually renders the upgrade more or less unnecessary...

Normally I adhere to looney2ns quote...
I'd let well enough be.

Just to let know I updated 4 IPC's HDBW2431R-ZS with firmware IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202 over the top of firmware november 2017. So far so good.

I noticed the latest firmware DH_IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000015.0.R.200430 is not available on the official Dahua firmware download. So not updated yet to latest firmware.

HI Andy!

I have two of the ipc-hdw2231R-zs cameras and I've tried to download your link below and the file was deleted, is there another firmware update that I cant seem to locate or a new link?

Thanks for all your hard work!

Steve

I installed DH_IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707 on a HDW2431R-ZS successully. With version 2.800.0000016, the sub stream iFrame interval would revert back to twice that of the frame rate upon a reboot of the camera. In this version, the iFrame rate for the substream does not change after a reboot - in my testing this morning it keeps the value I set (equal to frame rate). I never had a problem with the time sync on version 16 (my cameras sync to my USG 4 Pro which is my NTP server) but I wanted to test this version if the iframe bug for sub streams was fixed. Thanks for @EMPIRETECANDY for posting it and to @looney2ns for posting it to downloads. I will see how it performs over the next couple of days and may schedule a reboot to ensure the iFrame rate setting sticks following an automatic reboot.

Had my cameras do an auto boot on DH_IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707 firmware and upon bootup, all sub streams had kept their saved iframe rates. No reverting to default rates. Been no problem running this version over the past couple of days.

After I set the FPS to 15, all my 12 cameras that are IPC-HDW2231R-ZS will STILL constantly revert the substreams back to 30 FPS.

Current firmware is: V2.800.0000016.0.R, Build Date: 2020-06-05

@kbgator, Have you tried the V2.800.0000018.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-07 firmware? It can be found in the downloads page: DH_IPC-HX2X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream2_V2.800.0000018.0.R.210707

I have five IPC-HDW2431R-ZS and the substream values are not lost when the camera is rebooted using the 2021-07-07 version 18 firmware. I am running 15fps. The sub stream values were reverting to default for me on the version 16 firmware.

Hi there. Is this firmware compatible with the IPC-HDW2231R-ZS? Thanks

Just updated my IPC-HDW2231R-ZS x2 as ill be selling them, however in configtool theyre now listed as just "ip camera"? Not the model number any reason why that would be?

Hey. Thank you for this tip!!
I updated the firmware to this for all cameras and the substream FPS is holding to what I set it to!
