I purchased two IPC-HDW5442TM-AS in November 2019. Back on December 16, my Cisco PoE switch logged an error "Power Controller reports power Imax error detected" and the camera no longer works. I unmounted it and plugged it straight into my PoE switch and it will not power up. I plug in a 12V/1A adapter and it powers up and appears to operate normally. I have two questions:
1. Should I replace it with the same model or is there a newer model that has better low-light properties?
2. Can I purchase a replacement PoE module and perform some surgery to get PoE working again instead of buying a PoE splitter to insert on the camera mount and use the 12V input?
Thank you!
