Need advice regarding night time performance.
I have 2431T (the old version, does not support object detection) currently mounted in a place that is not very well lighted (street light).
I have HDW5849H-ASE (AKA: Dahua Color 4K-T), in a box (was never mounted) used as a backup in case one of the cameras fail.

The problem with 2431T, is that it's dumb, I cannot setup alarms based on the object type (human/vehicle) - i'm using Dahua NVR (prefer not to move to Blueiris for now).
My question, is, does the night performance of the two is similar?
I know there are two factors to consider - sensor size and pixel count, but not sure how to calculate it.
Also, the 4k-T don't have IR and have double the pixel count, so my bet is the 2431T willbe better at night.

The 4K-T is wonderful at night, especially, if supplemental light is available.
A full moon equivalent of light, will seem like day. I prefer it's big brother the 4K-X
as I use both as sky cams and security cams. In some cases I want people to see the cams.
