Hey Guys,

So I ordered 4 x IPC-HFW4300S from Aliexpress that were supposed to be 3.6mm. They assured me they shipped me 3.6mm and I compared them to some older cameras I have that are 3.6mm and they looked closer to 6mm.

So I pulled one apart and swapped the lenses. Took some screenshots and the seller has now agreed they don't look to be 6mm.

I've now noticed the firmware in the GUI is showing

  • Version

Device TypeIPC-HFW1320S
Software Version2.400.0000.15.R, build : 2015-08-30
WEB Version3.2.1.291804
ONVIF Version2.4.2
PTZ Version
Camera Version
S/N1LIN9BCPAU00443

This is a different model to that ordered and the serial doesn't look to match that on the box.

Is that to be expected or have they tried to shaft me? I dont know much about this model number IPC-HFW1320S

Can someone help me out with some info?

If the seller has agreed that they made a mistake, can't you return them?
From the Dahua site, I gather that the cameras are essentially the same. The IPC-HFW4300S is in the Eco-Savy series, and the IPC-HFW1320S is in the Lite series. The "Lite" series camera has a slightly better IP rating of IP67, i.e., it's protected against temporary immersion.
