Hi all,

Recently purchased and installed some equipment and it's learning curve for sure. Anyhow, two of my camera's are IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 setup for tag capture. I have it set to record all the time, but I'd like motion or IVS trigger for a time stamp for viewing recordings.

I'm not having any luck. One of my cams doesn't show any signs of IVS operation at all. My drawn lines can be viewed in the browser, but other than that you can't see them, but it does not acknowledge any object entering the space. The other cam functions with IVS, but as soon as it's triggered, the image starts looping the exposure setting continuously until IVS is disabled. The same happens with motion enabled. I'll attach an image or video so you can see an example.

So far I've setup IVS through the NVR UI (NVR I'm using is NVR5216-16P-4KS2), I've setup IVS through the browser config, and I've set it up directly inside both cameras. I'm at a loss and don't know what to do. I currently have Snapshot activated.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here are my current settings on the cam that does not acknowledge objects entering the area.

Here are some screenshots of the exposure settings going crazy when IVS is triggered.

Yeah, you have set a smartplan first.
I'm still having the overexposure looping problem that I mentioned earlier if anyone has any idea about that. Your advice solved the camera that wasn't functioning. Very much appreciated. Somehow I managed to create a Smart plan for the others, but not that one.... A lot of steps to keep up with...
