I have a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E that I use for LPR. For the first 6 months the camera worked great. Recently the camera started to require constant manual auto focus. I think its happening when it switches from night to day. Once I login to the camera and click auto focus, it clears back up. Its becoming a regular task now and its very annoying. I have tried looking for a firmware update but have been unsuccessful, its currently running V2.800.0000000.8.R, Build Date: 2019-09-02 . Any help would be welcomed.

Likely whats happened is the sun is setting earlier and in a different place.
This is a common issue with the Z12, especially when zoomed past about 80%
Solution:
Use a Schedule and have it change from day to night settings about 45 min BEFORE sunset and 45 min AFTER sunrise. Its a matter of giving it something to focus on while there's enough light for it to do so.

Thanks for information! I have updated the schedule and I will report back in a week.
It was definitely the day to night settings. I updated the settings and it worked until day light savings changed and then it was all messed up again. I updated the schedule again and it has been working flawlessly every since. Thanks for the help.
