I JUST bought one of these from your Amazon store last week (and I notice you are out of them now)-- it has firmware from 8/16/2019...

What is updated or different in this new firmware?

I see IPC-HDW2431T-ZS listed for that new one but not IPC-T2431T-AS. So I'm guessing the answer is no?

They are not use the same firmware, logo firmware I will update to the forum later, you can use the general firmware to update firstly.

Andy, I purchased the IPC-T2431T-AS from your Amazon store on July 15. Just got around to putting it up today, to test inplace of another camera. Had issues connecting straight away, the connection seemed to keep dropping. Was able to update the IP address, and connect it to Blue Iris. Connection was still very unstable. I tried updating the firmware to the second one listed above, which the camera accepted, now I'm unable to even connect to the UI. I tried resetting, but had no luck. Any ideas?

What kind of power you are using? Make sure 12V 2A or standard POE , can test with a new short cable.

Hey Andy this is the 2nd cam I got from you (first 2431). I'm the one with a faulty cam that won't take PNG snapshot from web interface (I don't mind since everything else seems ok)

Does it need firmware update ?

I got it Andy. Apparently this draws more power than the mini-ptz. I was able to plug it in to my bigger POE network switch, and it was up and running. Thanks for the quick response, though!

That is great! till now we have 0 camera was failed of power as a new one.
 
Has newer one, i will post here when i get it.
 
I just upgraded using DH_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.800.0000000.24.R.201014.bin even though my camera was purchased in 2019

Is it going to go up in a huge ball of flames? ;)

Edit: this upgrade is Empiretech-Approved
