Strange to be honest, I have a good few of this type of Turret camera and found only an issue with 2 of them. One new and one was used. Might have been why they got rid of it. But I took some Hot Glue and added a few layers to the rubber that was already in the base. I let the glue set to where I could touch it and then I placed the ball and put the ring on and tightened up the screw let it set for 30min then I removed it from the mount and went to mount to the location for the install.. Have some older Eyeball cameras from Amcrest that I have moved a few times and the little rubber parts have come off and again I took some hot glue and made a new mount bumper and all my cameras are fine with no play.. I take my cameras down from mounts every two years to replace the Gel packs that are in the cameras so all of them are holding up over the years of me doing this.. Something to try if you really like your cameras.. I do prefer Bullet cameras for most of my camera locations but do have a good mix of Turret, Dome, Bullet and PTZ cameras in my fleet..
