Hi all i hope everyone is staying safe.
Right i have a couple of questions maybe someone may be able to help with.. i have a couple of no name ipcams 1 is a 960p and 1 is a 1080p it's supposed to be 5mp but i don't think it is 5mp.the 960p one works ok no problems with it.. but the 1080p one i am having a strange problem with it. i have noticed that when viewing a live feed in the cameras gui or the hip2p client that it plays slightly quicker than it should so when someone is walking past it looks like they walking faster than normal the same if a car go by. but it gets stranger when i playback footage the speed increases so it looks as if the person is running. anyone any ideas what is causing this to happen..
also is they a way to tell if a camera is actually 1mp or 5mp. 1 pic of the cam and 1 of the settings ,,ptz.PNGptz 1.PNG

Multiply the best horizontal resolution by the vertical; yours shown is 2560 x 1440, which equals 3,686,400; divide that by 1,000,000 (one million) which leaves 3.6, round that off to 4.
Your cam is 4MP.

thank you tony. yes i get what you mean and understand . these are just the settings i'm using for the cam it does have the correct setting for a 5mp cam . but when i look at the live view it dosen't look like a 5mp view if that makes any sense . certainly 1080p but only just.ptz 3.PNG

Hi Jon, your bit rate for a 4MP cam is set very low. Crank it up to max 6144. Probably not 4MP if 6144 is max they let you set. Set your frame rate and key frame to 15, unless you are trying to capture some very fast events.
