Funny story. ( timestamp wise) Last Wednesday i uploaded 3 large video files to google drive from " snipping tool" screen captures of a possible incident across the street.
The time stamp from BI was there, because the video was not re-encoded, because it was playing back from BI console, unfucked with.
So that is yet another scenario where the BI timestamp would be visible.
The cops walked across the street as I was exiting my car, having just arrived home from work. They wanted to know If I had video of this guy getting assaulted. We stood out in the road while I played back clips on my iPhone from the BI app. They chose which time periods they wanted emailed to them.
Because the time period was so long and void of motion except for 4 cars, I did a Snipping tool screen recording of the playback from BI, and fast forwarded it to the next car and the next car etc. It still resulted in a 73MB file. So gmail said, too large, try uploading them google drive. and sharing the link via email. boom done.
We concluded that no other people or cars could have been involved so asked them if he may have self-inflicted the injury. Two of the 3 three cops said, " ya know thats we were thinking, because he is a drama queen".
His gf was in the shower at the time and could not have inflicted the wound.
And had I not fast forwarded them, they stood a chance of being admissible.
This was another motivating factor in rewiring the Color4k-180T STAT because it happed right in the view of a non working cam.
Murphy's of law pulling Cat5e. Tearing the jacket off around a 90 degree bend will cause the POE to fail when the Crime occurs. ...and so the incident was not caught.
This is how the narrowly missed Condo incidents would call for more cams until had 26.
I still sync my NVR as the cameras "Time Master" with Net time and it seems to throw out the time adjustments to all cams reliably. (when I achieve the right settings or possibly the default settings of the individual cams.)
So I have been having really accurate Time stamps for every incident for the last year or so after it's exported as an .MP4.
The BI PC is defaulted to time.windows.com and with both timestamps showing all the time, I can unFubar Daylight savings time in a Cam if it goes wonky.
