issues with BI after BI updates

i'm running foscam and amcrest cams. before in BI, i would get alerts when there's motion pushed to my cell phone and also via email.

but after the update, i don't get any alerts anymore. i even checked in each cam that the Alert tab has push to mobile enabled and when iphone is on same wifi network, i see the alert trip. But once on my own LTE network, i don't see anything from the BI app.

is it something i'm doing wrong here or what? i'm concerned as since i'm not getting any alerts... does that also mean it's not properly recording? please help.. i need to monitor to make sure my dog doesn't have seizures.
