iVMS 4200 isn't recording

When using the 4200 software, through the Storage Server tab I can see the hdd installed in my PC. I formatted it and the software say it is normal. When going through the two Hikvision camera's settings. I do not see the hdd available to choose. I do have in the camera settings to point to the F drive (3TB Purple) for video and camera. Any idea?

Is the 3TB purple drive connected to the PC directly or a network share. What format is it in? NTFS or FAT?

The HDD is connected straight to the PC. I formatted the HDD NTFS through Windows 7, then within the Hikvision Software.
