I just recently purchased a new cell phone and attempted to access my cameras on IVMS 4500 HD. I am unable to view the cameras under my login and receive a error code of 21001. Google has not turned anything up and a search of the forums found nothing either. Hikconnect still works but IVMS refuses to.

Any idea what the error code 21001 means?

What are you trying to connect through Wi-Fi or mobile data

Mobile. wifi works fine when I'm on the same network
Then the problem lies within your new mobile data connection.

Have you checked to make sure you have set the correct port to connect to and that it is open

If it's working fine on Wi-Fi ivms is not the problem

Have you checked your definately connecting to the right port and the right up address?

You will need to use your external ip address from your isp

If your are doing this thosevplease make sure you set up a vpn

Of course you would

You cannot connect to your internal ip address through mobile data or any remote network unless you are using a vpn. It's impossible

Get your external ip address by connecting Wi-Fi and the Google what's my ip and it will tell you

Ok. I'll try that. Never had to connect to my internal ip address before and IVMS worked fine

You also need to make sure the port itself is forwarded and open in your router.

I cannot stress how foolish this is unless you setup a secure connection via vpn.

Your leaving your house door unlocked for a burglar to just walk in (in laymens terms)

You are getting confused
Your internal ip address is assigned by your router and will be for e.g.. 192.168.x.x

Your external ip address will be different like mine starts 88.xxx.xxx.xx

I have the port open and forwarded. I'll check to see if it's a issue with my router firmware too
