IVS works with ONVIF/BI, but won't record to local SD Card

Can't figure this out - I have IVS tripwires and intrusion zones set up on a 4K-T180 that have been working just fine to send ONVIF triggers to Blue Iris, but I just discovered they don't seem to be recording to the onboard SD card.

I've verified:
  • Triggers have 'Record' Event Linkage
  • Schedule has 'Events' set to record 24/7 (I've tried overlapping 'General' as well and manually triggering an event, but it still won't cause a recording)
  • SD Card shows Normal status
  • SD Card is set to Overwrite
Oddly:
  • There are some events being recorded - however, they are days apart and most are 0 seconds long
  • There are periods where it does seem to record many events with actual durations, then it goes back to taking weeks off and only logging 0 second clips every few days again
Anything I've missed, or is this a firmware issue? I'm on (System Version:3.120.0000000.19.R Build Date:2023-03-01) - always scared to touch this one's firmware as it's so temperamental...

Thanks!

Are you recording 24/7 to the SD card? If so that is likely the issue.

It is well known here that Dahua and SD cards can cause issues.

It appears your card is full and it is having trouble figuring out how to write and delete at the same time.

A reformat of the SD card should do it.

And you may have to put in an auto delete every X number of days to not allow the card to get full. I have had to do that on a few problematic cameras.

Oh interesting, I'll try reformatting and see if it resolves. I always thought the overwrite setting allowed it to go continuously.

It wasn't my intention to record 24/7 - my understanding is the 'General' schedule would do that and I don't have it turned on.

Thanks!

Yeah, the overwrite setting is supposed to handle it, but many of us have found that it doesn't always work as it is supposed to.

Reformatted the card and triggered several alerts - all went to BI just fine, but none created event actions on the camera UI/SD.

Turned on SMD just to test and that also didn't create anything on the SD. Enabled General and it did create a file, but it shows as 0 seconds and won't play (although some of the card space is showing used now).

Don't know... may try another card, but this seems more like a camera/settings thing. Was hoping I'd just overlooked something minor.

I've had a couple of cases where a camera didn't work with the SD card, then worked with another card. Then the "bad" card worked just fine in another camera.
