Jerky HFW5241E-Z12E when large motion comes into shot (LPR)

Well I don't think he has had it going for much over two months and maybe he just noticed it, but maybe it has been happening all along.

I have been running BI for years and recently noticed while watching it live for an extended period that for my LPR camera I watched it not trigger for a big ole yellow school bus, but then trigger for a tiny 2-door car the next minute and then miss the same car coming back 5 minutes later!

Sometimes we are unaware of issues unless we spend a fair amount of time watching it live under every scenario...or maybe it was just the time of day that this was happening to him and me....

Specs are always fluffed to some extent and/or expressed under ideal conditions - do you get the EPA estimated MPG on your car during every season...or at all?

Agreed, and thus my comments about monitoring the situation over an extended period of time. Nothing just happens when the tech is on site or when you're at the doctors! :lmao: Regardless, eager to see how this unfolds and what is found as this issue has been called out in several forums. If the other members information is accurate that the same thing is seen on other branded camera's via BI.

That opens the door to not being hardware specific . . .

Regardless, I've called out what the break fix steps are used and followed to help isolate / identify.

Absolutely - and I bet you deal with all kinds, from those that have never looked at it for an extended period and it is an issue that has been there the whole time, to a recent issue that popped up. And yes, it never happens while you are there or the car is in the shop LOL... but get a mile down the road...

This issue has been happening the whole time, but I just never got around to messing with it

So far its been literally 100% on plates, the only ones it misses are ones you can hardly make out in person. I'd 100% recommend this camera to anyone

There also seemed to be a people counting profile in there by default, I removed that too

I've watched a few cars come by, and they are pretty damn smooth to the say the entire image of the camera is being changed. If I zoom out, its smoother. I have a feeling if I lowered the bitrate a tiny bit (I have it set to 20K) it would be even smoother
