Just installed the camera to watch my driveway. In live view, I'm seeing a green grid pop up on the picture intermittently? I would post a video, but embarrassingly have not figured out how to record yet!!

Could this be a badly terminated Cat6 cable? I forgot to test it before hooking up the camera.

Thx

You likely have it set to enable dynamic analysis on motion...

I do ... let me shut that off and see!

Seems to have fixed it...and figured out how to upload a video. Is this decent PQ for night time?

Hmmm... seems to be enough street light for day mode?

Here are some day time videos. These don't seem anywhere near as clear as the DS-2cd2132 posted on networkcameracritic.com? They seem much more compressed/blurry, or is it just me?

Settings attached.

Exposure set to Manual, 1/25
Gain = 100
WDR on 25
Day Mode
Smart IR off
White Bal = Natural Light
DNR=66

Will do (odd as I thought I had saved the same constant bitrate/I-frame at 20 as I read on the ncc site). Any recco's on a range of gain you usually use, or is it highly dependent upon lighting, etc?

all the settings depend on the conditions at the location..start a 50 and work from there

Thoughts on this?

This time it actually saved the constant bitrate of 6144 that I set. For some reason before it reverted to Medium quality variable.

... and it did it again, reverted back to Variable. What the heck?

Seems I have to ensure I've set it to "constant" in both the NVR web interface as well as the camera interface itself. Interesting.

Here is the latest, guess it looks better.
