Lets try this again

ok
i have this IPC-T2431T-AS 2.8mm up and running, and over on my computer
bi sees it on the scan, but gets no signal
im sure i have a setting f'ed up i guess
ive turned off the firewall and defender

Post a screenshot of the pop up window after you put in IP address and username and password and hit find/inspect

Why the 169.254.137.2 IP address for the cam?
IIRC, that's the range you get when a device is set to DHCP (not static) and there is no DHCP server available or responding. :wtf:

Where is the top part of that pop up window - that will show the error it is throwing.

my computers ethernet is all that with 1xx at the end
i forced it to that number, and my computer sees it
it was the default number. I mademy computer the default with 100 and it talked to it. I then forced the cam to the new number, and reset my computer to its original ip and they worked fine
its when i try to get to it from BI now

Copy this into where it says main:
Code:
/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

You probably should change the IP range for things but get it working first.

That should be the correct string for most all Dahua cams. Post that "Network IP camera configuration" screen again with everything filled out.

What you'll also want to do at some point is to copy that same string into where it says Sub. Then change subtype=0 to subtype=1. That will be the substream for the cam. Read up on substreams. Using that will cut down resource requirements in BI a lot.
