LOG4J - Vulnerability #3 reported

Guess we're all kinda used to it... not much different than M$ issuing windows updates that break things. Sometimes they're new things, sometimes they're previously fixed things. Many, many moons ago many in the industry agreed it was time to phase out java, yet here we are.

MacroSoft is always screwing things up with updates!
They pushed an update that will not allow a mouse or keyboard to bring a PC out of sleep just the other day.
Only way to get around it was to hard shutdown, reboot and then deal with the problem, while ms did it's updates.
We got calls from several offices that the PC would boot up, in fact, they were booting, just not waking up.
Aw well, we made a lot off of ms.

Java should have been gutted long time ago, but there are still a lot of stuff written in it.

Not a Microsoft fan boy by any stretch of any one’s imagination but W10/W11 if you think about it is a hell of an achievement and I do sometimes think why there aren’t more issues with security and feature updates.

Although from outside in to the average user a PC is a PC with a keyboard, mouse and display the inside could be anything from el-cheapo parts all the way to top of the range motherboards, super fast ram etc. and the OS has to deal with all of this and not crap itself.
