I need a cheap, portable camera for monitoring various things around the house on a temporary basis. Since I have a Hik/LTS NVR, naturally I would like it to handle the camera so I don't have to use some proprietary app. It would be ideal if the camera can focus on objects that are just a few inches away, too.
On another forum, someone suggested the D-link DCS-936L, and it has some desirable qualities... but I have no idea if it can be made to work with a nice NVR. I certainly don't see any mention of Onvif compatibility.
Wyze wifi cameras are only $20, but they look entirely proprietary as far as I can see.
