Great info and I continue to read documents and drawing things out.

Looking for input on these cameras
Key differences between
Loryta IPC-T2431T-AS Fixed Lens 4MP vs Loryta IPC-T5442TM-AS Fixed Lens 4MP

Loryta IPC-T5442TM-AS Fixed Lens 4MP vs EmpireTech IPC-T5442T-ZE White 4MP

The ZE is Vari-Focal but is there anything else the ZE has over the AS?

the most import thing on a camera is the CMOS sensor size, bigger is better.
The 2431 has a sensor 1/3
the 5442 has a sensor 1/1.8 -- bigger better in low light .

With the zoom cameras is there a way you can tell if you are at say 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm etc in Blue Iris or any of the other software out there?

Ok so from the focal length Calculator.

Is the above referring to the Camera properties in say BlueIris or in the camera settings itself?
