I was given 3 Lorex LBV1521-C cameras. My friend said the DVR was gone. So silly me thought I could use any DVR but found out I need a Lorex DVR. I'm having a hard time finding out what ones would work as I only see a few cheap older units on eBay. One says they need LHV1000 and another talks about any 720P Lorex DVR would work. I tried to email the company but never heard anything back. Does anyone one know what models would work? Trying to see if I can get something cheaply setup.

Did you buy a DVR and it didn't work, or did you buy an NVR? A DVR is for analog cameras (BNC connectors) and an NVR is for IP cameras (ethernet connection). If you bought one, what was the make and model?

Any analog DVR should work that is rated for resolutions above 720P.

Amcrest and Lorex are Dahua OEM, so those should work.

With that said, that is pretty old tech and resolution.

Yes found a cheap 4 camera DVR and it wouldn't work was just a blank screen.

And yes they're a few years old so BNC. Maybe I'll pick up one of the Lorex on eBay and see.

Maybe it was an incompatibility issue between your monitor/TV and the DVR?

Could you access it via IP address?
