Lost password on HIKVISION DS-7204HQH1 DVR

Folks,

I've been tasked with trying to access a CCTV system we have at my local church and no one seems to know who knows the log in details.

Any clues on how I go about resetting the password?

Hi !
You will need to send an email request for reset password to HikVision tech support by usind SADPtool for generating xml file info of the DVR and send it to them so they can provide you a key to reset the password .
(you need to keep the dvr connected to the internet and you shouldn't power off the device.)

Hi I've managed to do that but even after resetting the password, I still can't get logged into access the software.

I've gone back to them to ask for guidance.

If you could make a dump of the Bios and send it to me i could help you with resetting it . (It requres soldering skill and you need a SPI Flash Reader to do it.)

Sorry, I meant to come back and say that I had sussed things out and had managed to get logged in.

What happens next is anyones guess.
