Hi all. I'm looking for a low-cost wire label maker to organize my network cable mess. I can't see spending hundreds of dollars on a DYMO as once it's used to organize my cables it will more than likely sit in a drawer or in a cabinet and forgotten. Any suggestions?

I run the Epson LW-PX700. Does heat shrink and has a lifetime no questions asked warranty.

If just numbers is ok, you can use the adhesive backed number labels from the electrical department at Home Depot, etc. For roll your own labels, Brother has at least a few low end models under $50.

I have the low end brothers. They don't stay stuck after some time.....at least on my cables. might be ok,,,,if rather than lengthwise if you wrapped it so it stuck to itself going sideways.

I use a Dymo LetraTag which can be had for $25-30. Aftermarket refills are pretty cheap. This IS an item that sits in a drawer most of the time.
