I’m trying to figure out way I’m getting low frame rates and choppy motion recording. I think I’m thinking ive got bottle neck in the system.
I’m having to lower the biterate in the camera’s setup page to keep the frame rates up. All the frame rates in blue iris match the setup frames. Or a few fps higher. Maybe I’ve got a setting wrong. Any help would be awesome.
Here’s a run down of my components.
1. Windows 10 fresh install.
2. Blue iris licensed— all recording direct to disk
3. i3-8350k - 8gb ram—250gb system disk old 2.5 5400 drive. 2tb Seagate Skyhawk
4. 5: 5231R-ZE 2mp AND 1: 5831R-ZE 8mp— at default setting.
5. BU-tech 9 port Poe switch. 10/100 —uplink 10/100mb. (I’m thinking the Poe switch is the bottle neck)
6. ASUS router RT AC87u.
The Poe switch is directly connected to the ASUS router. As well as the Compter via Ethernet.
