I have a IPC-B5442E-Z4E I use for LRP. Basically, most of the time during the day, you can read license plates well but sometimes the picture is a bit pixelated. Night time pictures seem to be perfectly fine. Here are some examples below, and my current day/night settings.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Try changing your Encode Mode to H.264

Yep to above H264 and CBR and drop NR down to 30 or so during the day and night.

Then based on your field of view adjust the other parameters - all on 50 usually results in issues.

At a minimum consider having contrast be 7-10 numbers higher than brightness.

^^^^^
THIS

Plus raise your bitrate to at least 8192. My 5442s look best to me at 10240
Good ideas. I had a 4k cam that was having issues at h.265 and setting it to 264 worked, should've done it with this cam too but missed that. I set the bitrate to 8192 and it is at maxed zoom. Thanks
