LPR for HOA?

The problem is we have bigger fish to fry with our budget....

Changing the declaration.... Fixing up the landscaping the builder gave to us in crappy condition. Install aerator in the retention pond so we don't get nasty algae bloom... Etc...

Priorities- this is what most HOAs don’t get right.

I put it to the homeowners directly.

1) Do you want us to spend $10K on a new wall and prettier flowers? Or provide some level of security with state of the art cameras?

2) if so would you be willing to fork over $100 one time special assessment to do both?

We got a yes from 39 of 41 homes

We also saved for a rainy day instead of seeing how fast we could spend money. We carry 1.5-2 years of total annual dues in reserve

so I call up my city electric co-op and appearntly its only $1k for a connection drop to connect to the grid, but we have to get an electrician to install the meters and outlet etc.

We just have just street light poles owned by the utility. We had contractor install a couple of 4” x 14 ft aluminum poles.
