LPR Full Colour Night Time via PTZ & Auto tracking

Here is an attempt to get LPR at night in full colour with my PTZ while auto tracking with only street lights.

There are a ton of plates from the parked cars.

You did get a good clear shot of the police plate, but I suspect you also picked up 10+ plates of parked cars. How are you dealing with that? Every time a car drives down the road your camera will pickup all the parked car plates as well.

It was just a test to see if i could capture plates at night and if I was going to solely use it as that then it would be zoomed in more on a specific spot.

You can of course, but here vehicles drive slowly you should test with faster speeds and increase the shutter speed.

Are you capturing plates with any service, such as OpenALPR? And also, when cars travel in the other direction, the camera will track as well from the preset3?
